Do I Have to get a tune for a 150 shot?
Do I Have to get a tune for a 150 shot? I have the Tnt F1 kit and am currently running a 100 shot, but am going to install a 255fuel pump this weekend so I can bump it up to the 150 shot. Do I absolutely need a tune to run this without blowing up my daily driver. There is no tune at all done right now to it. Just the Tnt kit, tr6 plugs and a window switch, set from 3000-5800. And I currently have 119000k miles on the ol SS.
I was running a 150 shot in my vette but calculated the injectors were running at 92% so I backed off at 100 shot. But the 150 shot ran fine without pulling timing.
Since you have a MSD w/s, why not put the MSD timing mod on there to pull during shots? better safe..

I wouldnt think you would if your still on a stock tune, and havent advanced the timing any. I would definetly try and get a few dyno pulls, with A/F, and to make sure there is no knock retart though.

Yeah that is kinda funny. I spoke to the guys at TnT and they said they would not suggest running the 150 shot without a tune. And the same from the guys at MTI. I need a tune anyway, but was just trying to save some money for a stall instead.
