Default Fule pump

Im about to buy a fule system for my 408 nitrous setup. Im going to be hitting the motor with around a 400-500 shot and it will be around 530rwhp on motor. Will a A1000 Eliminator pump do the trick. Thanks

I would go with an independant front mounted fuel cell/pump setup for something like that. The Nitrous Outlet has some really nice ones you can check out. Nitrous Outlet Link

You could go that route, or go stand alone. I would suggest going the stand alone route. Another option for you:

What is better about going with the standalone if the fuel pump can handle the power. The motor already has to run on race gas all the time so why have two tanks?

Chances are on motor you can get by with a single in tank (Racetronix or the like) pump. With the A1000 Eliminator you'll need to run a sumped tank, plumbing, pump controller if the vehicle sees any street time, feed & return line. It'll work, but it'll also be more expensive then going the stand alone route. You can also run a higher grade fuel in the stand alone then what you are currently running for motor, and you can always run it low pressure for ease of dialing in A/F. Now if you already have the A1000 set up you might as well run it.

You can still use 1 pump for a 408 and a 400 shot. i use a magnafuel and it works awsome. handled 900rwhp and 850 rwtq on a mustang dyno with no drop off. just going to need a decent feed line(10An at least) and a -8 return to help flow the fuel at wot and still have enough to flow it back at idle.

A few reasons i shy away from 2nd tanks are

1. forget to fill it on a 400 shot =boom! if you forget to fill the back tank its more likely to shut off than Boom!

2. Back tanks gona hold 8 gallons easy.

3. Not a fan of fuel cell in front for fire and safty reasons.

But for a mild setup or if you don't want to do a complete fuel setup front mounts work .

This is what i was think im going to do because of future plans, do i have to run a low and high fule pressure regulator?
