ngk TR-6's and fuel economy

I checked my fuel economy last weekend. I was driving about 77mph with the cruise control on. Six Speed with stock 3:42 gears.
I managed a terrible 23.5mpg.
Is it the cold plugs? They are gapped @ .035"
thanks,

I didn't have any mpg difference with them. Not more, not less.

I have been told that with colder plugs there will be a drop of about 10hp.

might be a small loss on a bone stock motor, but it wont be 10 hp

Screamin_Z Apr 19, 2007 12:18 PM

not much if any hp loss but some motors will lose MPG with colder plugs, it's not as efficient as a hotter plug

Hennytime Apr 19, 2007 01:45 PM

maybe 3-5 flywheels horsepower
