Direct Port or Nitro Dave's Plate??

When my motor gets done I'll be spraying around a 200 shot, 250 MAX. I'll be getting Nitro Dave's dedicated fuel system. I'd like to hear some opinions on what would be the better setup. The plate system is simple, looks good, and seems to perform well. Why spend more on a direct port setup? Thanks.

trmin8r what where your mods before you got the tsp heads, and what did it dyno. i only ask b/c im in love with your cars and have a pretty similar setup. and im planing on running the same size shot through a daves plate.

Just TSP MS3, full bolt ons and TNT F2 jetted for the 200 shot.

Big advantage of direct port that I like is the individual cylinder tunability. To do it correctly, you'd need to have EGT sensors in each primary, but I imagine it'd be safest to jet #7 a tad bit richer than the rest of the cylinders.

i was going direct port, but since i wasnt planning on spraying anything really over a 150, i decided to go with daves plate system.. but i wonder if running a direct port would be safer with that size of a shot like in your case?

IF your max (IF being the key word) is 250 keep your F2 kit and spray the house down

for over a 200 shot I feel a direct port would be the way to go;)

why spend more? safety...

with the direct port your getting the same amount of nitrous and fuel in each cylinder making it safer on a large shot.

plate probably does a pretty good job but the front runners/cylinders are getting the majority of the nitrous. I'm sure the back gets a fair amount, but the DP is the best way to keep it all equal. IMO anything over 200 should go DP, I'm sure you get a better hit with DP as well.

Thanks for the input, keep it coming :)

I have the plate on my 408 and love it. I spray 200 shot. Might go with 250 later. But I feel the plate is great! If I was going to spray over 250 I would go DP. I have the TNT F2 kit with a 90mm plate and a 200 shot-gets me 225rwhp!

Won't it go boom! with a DP setup if an injector fails?

Same thing can happen no matter what you do if an injector fails ;)

PLATE.

Another advantage to the plate is simple-quick jet changes. That shouldn't be over looked. Its a PITA, to do a tune-up change at the track on a direct port, especially between rounds.
If you think you will be spraying big-time,then invest the the DP now, if you are 200 range, go with the plate, and enjoy your extra money and free time. :)
