Changing Intake Studs To Add Nitro Dave's Plate Is anyone here familiar with how to remove/replace the tupper two studs that come from the intake to hold on the throttle body for a Trailblazer SS? I need to go with longer studs in order to bolt up a Nitro Dave's 90mm LS2 plate. They look like they have a torx head on the back of the studs, but I am just not sure if they are press fitted in or threaded in? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!! |
double nut the studs and take them out(if they are threaded). other than that idk just trying to help. |
Double nutting them should work well. Ill have Chris or Ray call Steve at performance turbo tommorow and see what he had to do. Dave |
I either did the double nut trick or used locking pliers on them when I put on my cold fusion plate. |
Thanks for your help guys. I purchased the right size Torx Cap socket (4mm I beleive) to try out and it seems that these studs will thread right out and can be replaced with the proper length metric 6mm x 1 bolt. Just waiting on the plate to come back from Nitro Dave's with the connections moved to the pass. side now :) |
