So I'm N2O Stupid...
 
Well I was reading over Dlove's sticky and still had little questions...

I've been batting the idea of a small shot of N2O around in my head for a couple weeks, but like the title says I'm pretty N2O stupid. I know about enough to blow something up. So heres my questions...

I have an 02 SS, basically stock (Lid/Catback/9inch/Suspension) So I was wondering what's a good kit to run? Id like to get 50ish HP just a small shot, like to get mid/low 12's.But...

Would I need tuning?
Could I run my stock plugs?
Would be be easier to run a controller or just a button?
How much cash am I looking at spending if I do it "right"?
Wet or Dry Kit?
Whats some Supporting mods that would be a good idea 1st?

I'm sure I'll have more questions as I keep thinking about it.

i say lay the coals to it. Believe me you won't stop with a 50 shot. Basic kit, and i mean basic would start you out around 400 bucks. But if you want to be safe, and depending on wet or dry shot, will depend on how much you spend. on a 50 shot your stock plugs would probably be fine, just tighten the gap up on them. If you go dry, not real sure on the tuning thing. But you normally will pull 2 deg of timing per 50 shot. This can be done either having the timing tuned out or buy a timing tuner or something of that nature. If you run a wet kit, and have a wideband, and the proper jets, and a timing tuner, you can more the less tune it yourself. main thing is the timing (i would recommend taking it to someone who knows what they are doing). But my opinion, if you are running a wet kit, and have a wideband, the wideband is about the best safety feature you can have. About your other mods, i would definately do bolts first, then on that 50 shot low 12's should come like clock work. But just my .02

oh and don't use a button, use a wot switch and a window switch and you are good to go on the activation. Buttons have a tendency to hang... and believe, you don't want it to hang.

yah what he said, a 50 shot (you wont stop there) is so small eveything stock is fine. just buy a nozzle kit with a wide open throttle switch and put it on. no tuning required with a standard wet kit. have fun!

Ain't that the truth. lol ,.. I doubt you will even feel a 50 shot.

So I was reading on Holley's website, so the Dry kit has something you plug into the PCM for it to spray more fuel? What if that fails? You go looking for a new motor?

I would just get a nozzle kit and do a 100 shot ! you should be ok on stock tune with that being the max. you will feel a 50 shot but im telling you it wont stop there.

I would go with a wet nozzle kit. It's fairly cheap, and works great for the size of shot you're looking to spray. I would also look into a wideband, and some longtubes to get that air moving a little better.
