Give it a couple of years. GM hasn't officially written off the Z/28 so I'm holding out hope that for 2011 m/y it will be available.

Besides locally you will be hard pressed to even pay MSRP until the eager beavers have gotten there's at an obscene premium. For example: Dodge in Lake City had a Challenger that MSRP'd for 42k listed for sale at 91K. Yes that's $91,000. For a boat that doesn't even come with oars. Who would pay that you ask....the guy that brought it to this years Kirkland autoshow. He probably managed to knock a few k of the asking price but I can't help but shake my head at some people will do to have the first anything. On the bright side he did win a $5 trophy that day....

I think I will wait till they get th bugs worked out it usually takes gm a few years to make something work. On the other hand I havent heard of one problem with the challengers yet. I think that might be the smart option for a couple of years.

Interesting. The last new vehicle Chevy rolled out (Malibu) just outscored every mid-size sedan for defects per 100 vehicles. Malibu had 88 reported problems by owners. That is in it's first year BTW. Camry and Accord both scored worse. Camry is in it's second year.

HTWHLS from Oregon said she ordered one for $750 over invoice. Has an inside line with a dealer though.

I talked to the mgr @ Robinson Chevy & he told me I could order one for list as soon as they started taking orders....if I didn't need to replace my 16 yr old shake roof I'd probably be trading the Avi in on a black SS next year!

Orders began going into GM from Dealers this past Monday with pricing. From what I'm reading there are some pretty big allocations out there but they will still probably go pretty fast so if your after a specific color/ option combo the sooner you step in and order the better.
