Default I moved....to Jersey

Hey all,
The man decided i have spent too much time in Washington (Home), and moved me to Central New Jersey. (McGuire AFB). I moved here in November and 2 weeks later i was checking out the last test and tune at Atco raceway.
It was 34 degrees and I didn't expect alot of LSX's. 3 F-Bodys and about 16 GTO's. I was amazed. Saw a twin turbo iron block 408 vette run a 9.04 at about 157mph. He drove to the track from 100 miles away. Density altitude was -1200, from what i was told.
Anyway, looking forward to Spring, (EnglishTown is only 40 minutes away).
I will hopefully be back to Puyallup in 20 months or so when i retire....Take Care guys.

Hey dude I was just wondering where you've been and if you're racing that GTO. I can't believe you're at Atco, that place sounds awesome. Mineshaft air and nice track prep, gotta like that. They have a strong vette community and the local tuner ECS has a great reputation. Take care and keep in touch.

Chris, have you been to Mission up in BC? After my 4th trip there I had broken 2 rear ends - 2 for 4. We should make a group trip up there for a race this year.

Mo great to hear from you. Atco is where all the records, at least in the Vette world, are set. Man I wish i could get a chance to race there, lucky dog. Did you race the GTO? If not, why? If so, results? and/or are you going in the future?

Is John still living here (WA)? I haven't seen him for some time. seems since his wife thing, he's dropped the car scene all together, but I try to get himinterested everytime I talk to him.

Don, I would love to go if we can get a group thing for the weekend, man that would be sweet. lets go, lol. Been a very long time since I have been there, so it would be a blast for sure. Maybe we can select a time when we think the weather will be good for new personal bests? Let us know.

Wow, I don't remember it being that much. They likely have BIG payouts.

If we go up there there's one rule that they enforce with vigor...
  1. All vehicles must drain antifreeze prior to racing (except 1995 or newer stock car and trucks with sealed factory coolant system). Bring a plastic container.
This catches lots of racers and they have always done REAL tech. No sliding because and they check every thing on every car, no matter how many times you've run there. I personally believe this is the right way to do it, but that just me.

Why do this? Are they trying to keep anitfridge from getting into the drinking h2o? I wish they would out law the poison stuff and only allow the non poisonous anti-fridge. In the boat business we are required to use only the non toxic style anitfridge. yea, I know I am a tree hugger, lol, but hell we have the largest amount of tumors and cancers here in the good Ole USA.

Anyway, I am in if we can get a group together. this would be a blast and make a nice week end trip.

Have fun out there Mo! The east coast is so much more densely populated that it seems like everyone can get to everywhere. Be sure to go to one of the big national GTO events while you're out there!

Absolutely...

Jon is doing good. He still has the TBSS. He was talking about giving his truck to his girlfriend and getting an F-body...I think he will be back soon. He is happy again now.

For you guys interested, Friday Night Drags at Mission is only like $25. Racing starts at 4 or 5pm, I forget, and goes until 10 or 11. That's the only racing I have done up there. I just can't see shelling out $70 AND driving a long ways to get some time slips.

I was cruising the new posts and I came across this one. Welcome to Jersey man, its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. When spring rolls around a bunch of guys with f-bodys, vettes, gtos, and some mustangs meet up every thursday to shoot the ****. You should come around, its usually a fun time. (Edison area)
