hi iam new to the forum and iam in search of a camaro or firebird 98-02 dont car what it is as long as its ls1 with t-56 and hard top kinda iffy about t-tops the leaking and all, and under 100k. If you guys know anything let me know, thanks

I just seen 3-4 on Craigs list yesterday, this is in Boise, do not know where
you are at, but give it a look.

Welcome! Thats a tuff find with the 6spd but if ya do find one your lookin at about 8-12 grand depending on miles! They do pop up here and there.

thanks for the welcomes, Iam located in centralia WA, iam looking to spend about 10-12k or so. Do the t-tops on these newer camaro and firebirds leak like the 3rd gens are known for or did they fix that problem? iam afraid to buy a t-top car in general.

Hi welcome! And nope they never fixed that probablem mine leak all the time, not bad but still do. I don't thinke there is one car with T-tops or a sport top that does not leak. But I will keep an eye open for you. Good luck

I've owned my car for over 10 years and they've never leaked a single drop. It was my daily driver for almost 5 years when I first bought the car. Maybe it's hit and miss with them leaking? I've also heard that subframe connectors greatly reduce the chances of them leaking by minimizing body twist.

Wow!! Really, lol that sure is rare to hear that. My dad owns a 94 supra and it leaks, my uncle had a 94 z28 and it leak. Damn you got a good one! You wanna trade cars. Lol

Keeping the seals clean and lubricated with silicone spray will go a long way to help preventing leaks also. None of my seals look like they're 13 years old.

No interest in trading, sorry lol....

Lol damn I thought I had ya.. yeah I have to get mine redone because they look like there about as old as your car is. Wonder how much it would cost t get them done?

Mine no leakee lol. She is 15 yrs old and 0 t-top leaks but that is due to what Mikey said clean and maintained = no leaks! To the op here is a nice ride!!

Hey guys just got my new ride a 2000 camaro z28 with only 32k miles on it looks brand new. is there any clubs in the olymipia to seattle area??

Mine is a 99 and no leaks ever. Dont ask me about my 79
But really anyone got a hardtop for a 79 Camaro?

ive owned 3 fourth gens and the only time ive had problems with leaks on any of them is when i wash the car. they dont seem to leak from rain
