The only Corvette I would sell the Bird for would be a 2002-2004 Z06 or a C6 LS3. I'm not a convertible fan either. As far as the price goes, that extremely high for a 98' w/ almost 50K. I don't care how rare the wheels are. I've seen 2001+ Z06's w/ less miles going for just a few thousand more locally.

I can see grandma & grandpa driving that to and from the clinic. For what that car is, there are a lot better Corvette's to be had for that dollar amount.

If I was to go for a C5 it would be plain LS1 cuz an ls6 is basically a glorified LS1

Sounds like it's time for me to justify the price...

NADA - $19,950

KBB Private Party - $19,106

KBB Retail - $21,131

It's rather tough to book a car like this given the low miles.

There's 2,215 C5 Corvettes for sale in the country currently according to Autotrader.

Of those, 936 have 45k miles or less.

Of those 936, only 36 are $19k or less.

My price is not high. At the very least, it's right on the money, if not a little low.

My fat *** fits in 'em just fine. You're not much bigger than me from what I remember.

And, for what it's worth, I don't appreciate you crapping in my thread.

I guess I should have been more clear about how I look at the asking price coming from a Vette lover. 18+k for that Corvette in todays "real world" market and for what people can afford and want to spend is a lot of money. Even if KBB and these other sites book it out for more. That Corvette is going to cater to a specific crowd.....which would more than likely be a older person and not so much the younger generation. The average person wouldn't want to spend 18K on that (which is some good coin) when they can buy a a Z06 or FRC w/ lower miles for a few more dollars or one with higher miles for the same price. That's just how I view it and I'm sure the majority would too.

As far as me crapping in your thread, I never said the car was a POS or anything like that. Just that it was a lot of money. You posted a add on the net so be ready for people to express their opinions. If you don't like it, delete the thread and post it in the correct location where it belongs.

GL with the sale.

Thats a fair price for a vette thats in nice shape with low miles. Most vettes from 12 to 15k are beat up with higher miles. Used cars now days fetch alot more money.

That is a fair price and a nice car. Me, I'm not into convertibles and if spending the cash would go for a Z06 for a few grand more. Nice car though

That price isn't out of line at all. That looks like a really nice car at a reasonable price. I'm sure it'll sell for that!

I always laugh at that too, considering how people wash their cars and all.

I know a few people (my dad is one of them) that have never washed their cars after paint because they never get it dirty but that is a totally different story!

Just using that statement as a way to describe how clean this C5 is. Lack of rain doesn't make the vehicle appreciate. Application of rain doesn't make the vehicle depreciate.

It's still available as well!
