I will offer no advice because you stated you were going to use it for "drifting". I want no part of that.

So hard to read posts that contain no punctuation....

Why in the world would you take a C5, drop an LQ in it and use it for drifting?!?!

The blocks are pretty close to the same, the difference is everything on the block and the weight. You would have hope the lq made enough power more to make it worth the swap otherwise just put a cam in the ls that is in the vette and bolt ons and you will make lots of power.

So there is no chance of you riding shotgun and drifting with me in my Jeep Cherokee with a 4 1/2 inch lift?

^^^ That is entirely different, as long as you are talking about mudding. I am in for that and will pitch for gas. I will bring a helmet too.

Both. I just think drifting is extremely lame. It's like all he n00bs with Honda's bought RWD cars and couldn't control it, wrecked them, then to cover there asses turned into a "sport". So now when you drive a horrible riding, crappy tired, beat to **** 240.....it's a "drift car" with "drift scars". I just think the whole culture of it needs to be killed with fire.

I agree with that most of them are beat to **** and ride like it, but there is some out there that still ride nice and look good. But for it to be killed would just put them all back on the streets and doing it when cars are around. Not saying they don't now but it would be all the time...I went to a drift event at pats acres and it was bad *** to go for rides.

If it were me...I'd be smart...keep the LS in the Vette, it's not like you need the LQ to win drag races or anything. If you wanna drift, go drift. The LS already in the car will do that all day long. Do what ya gotta do with the LQ and save yourself some freegin time an effort. Sell it, pawn it, **** it, stroke it, drop it in some POS drag car, whatever. If you wanna drift, keep the LS1 DUDE. nuf said ..............use that thing between your ears boy. Time and money=results=A+=*****, ,,no brains =loss of cashola. best of luck

As said earlier, I dont necessarily hate drifting, but the whole culture is kinda fucked up IMO and turns me off to the sport in a big way.

The idea of sliding a car sideways is very fun though. I grew up on snow covered roads in western Montana so I did that a lot with my cars and trucks in the winter months.

Just my. 02...

Wrong car for drifting!!! Youll find that out. They pick up speed way to fast spinning compared to most cars
