Hello all, I need some machine work done on a set of 243 heads I purchased. I was priced 500 all together at a local machine shop to have some dings from shipping filled in, mill the heads, and a light port job. I want to get a few other quotes from reputable shops, any suggestions? Thanks. Willing to travel a short distance if need be.

Talk with Charlie he did a nice job on a set of 243 heads for me (but up in Portland.) If you want closer to Salem I am using Craig at Woodburn, he runs the machine shop out of the Napa. I know a few others on here have used him and happy with his work. I am using him for block work and he has seems to be knowledgeable and fair prices and is a nice guy. He has a nice set up for doing heads as well.
