Default corner scales in portland-vancouver area

I need to get corner weights before I order new springs. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

I went to that import shop on airport way, PRE. very nice staff. medium reasonable prices. i'm happy with the outcome, but BerettaLS I'm still interested in using the scales to balance out after I get the new springs in.

Let me know, maybe I can trade fab work or just good old fashion cash.

Thanks!

sorry I completely forgot about this thread. I know that place, they have tuned my car in the past actually!

yeah, Ive done some balancing with them on my car but thats pretty much it. I have everything to level the scales out too. Let me know when you wanna do it! I can set the scales up and you can do the rest, or I can help ya, Or I could do it all if you want. it does tweak the ride height on every corner so you kinda have to decide on "whats good enough" if your not adding weight to the car. Obviously a driver/passenger changes it all too.

how close was it when you took it to PRE?

very far off front to back! 2000 front, 1500 back...side to side was within 50 lbs...without me in it but thats what you get for trying to go fast in a pickup truck!

but really I just needed F & R weight to order the correct springs for the shocks. I was way oversprung and couldnt hook for sh*t

I have it all torn up for winter upgrades right now but I'd love to put it back on the scales after that

What scale numbers did you end up with? Front to rear % and corner weights.

i have the exact numbers somewhere but like 1970 ish front and 1420 rear (58/41) , 1/4 tank of fuel (tank is behind axle) and no driver

side to side wasnt bad. little light on the right, so i added a muffler and a cut out and moved my meth tank. and i've been eating less donuts from the damn cutting tool vendors lol

A good front to rear % is 53%F, 47%R. You will have to add weight to the right rear. Are you running the stock fuel tank? Is the battery in the stock location? The right front will be light with battery in the stock location. Are running coilovers on all 4 corners? Scroll down to post #326. This is where started scaling. All the work paid off, car launches like a frog now, up and forward at the same time.

fuel tank is a custom job, moved off the pass side frame rail. battery and exhaust sit there now. lost a 100? lbs swapping to a CV front end, but the hood and core support have to weight 300 lbs. so a tube front end and glass hood are coming soon.

thanks for the heads up, that looks like a good read
