Here is an article I found on a fellow Open Road driver and his killer vette. Car belongs to and is driven by Jeff Dugan. I stay in touch with him throughout the year. this has been a project an a half for him. he is just getting ready to eclipse the 100K mark in $'s spent.

Quite a racer's story line there....1st place, crashed, re-growing cajones, blew motor, borrowed car to race in, rebuilt & on come-back trail. :eek2:

Actually it looks to be a big block sittin' between the frame rails if I'm not mistaken.... :)

Its a 396 bowtie motor with a hogans intake. NOT an LT1. Wait till the new motor comes together for him. He is looking at 700rwhp area.

I thought his 396 was a bored LT1 motor.....no? :confused:

Ah you guys are correct. Looking at the valve covers that is a Rat Motor.

Nope, its a bowtie block. Also notice where the distributor is at and the valve covers.
