pacific raceway on the 13th

looks like they are calling for rain on the 13th, might have to wait another week. God damn i m going crazy.

Poik 02-08-2005 12:46 PM

Well I am SO ready to race now.. Actually I am too ready now as I managed to spend all my money prepping my car for the track. So now I won't be able to race until March! :( Total bummer.

WAHUSKER 02-08-2005 12:47 PM

Works for me. I don't have axles yet. Did you get the 2 stage worked out?

howierd42 02-08-2005 12:57 PM

I don't have my intake installed yet, or my headers, or my cam, or my cage, or my.... I hope to do atleast one run down there this summer though.

sardog46 02-08-2005 12:57 PM

Mark not a 2stage, a 2 step....stuterbox

Tranzor 02-08-2005 01:53 PM

Well, plus it's still gonna be cold and dewy at the track in the morning anyhow... if the track temp dips below 40 degrees, our stickies ain't gonna stick to the ground. Launching will be even trickier, and the tires will have more trouble on the back half of the track where the pavement will be even cooler...

Got about another month to wait for the weather to start even thinking about cooperating with us racers...

HitmanLSX 02-08-2005 01:54 PM

If the weather stays good I'll be there to document :) even with the tranny work the car won't be ready (need some bushings and stuff first)

lol I just don't wanna end up breaking something else, as a preventive maintenance measure. I just can't afford it right now lol. But for now I'm lookin at 1LE control arms a torque arm bushing and a tranny mount. which I can do the labor on myself.

Poik 02-08-2005 01:59 PM

1LE control arms? Is there even a difference? You would be better off getting a tubular design. I might be selling mine in a couple months if you want to wait that long.

Mainly bushing design I think, only $98 for a pair of 1LE LCA's. After talking with bill last night I realize why poly LCA bushings are a bad idea (and it makes sense). So I'm just gonna get those until I can afford a set of Spohn Rod-ended LCA's.

sardog46 02-08-2005 02:31 PM

yhea hopefully the weather guys are wrong but i doubt it. Not to worried about hooking up, i just want to get it out and make some shakdown runs, probely not even going to spray it. Just want to work on shift points and some other things.

Poik 02-09-2005 05:09 PM

Weather looks good as of now.. By the way, does anybody have a helmet I would be able to borrow?

strobelite 02-09-2005 08:28 PM

Nate

strobelite 02-09-2005 09:07 PM

No it wasn't. First day is supposed to be this Sunday Weather permitting.

silverbullet02 02-09-2005 11:48 PM

However...with the air that cold, might put up some good mph...if you don't spin terribly, the car will still post a good mph on the other end...I'd like to go, but car still isn't dialed in where I want it, and who knows if I'll even be off work...we'll see what happens, but it's doubtful I'd go...maybe I should get some baseline #'s on my Dodge:devil: ...18 seconds, here I come! :jest:

Brian :drive:

strobelite 02-09-2005 11:57 PM

Damn Brian, You might be able to keep up with the honda's at that rate!!! 18's :)

DrEvyl 02-10-2005 10:11 AM

I'd be up to going if the weather is acceptable. I haven't done anything to my car but it would be nice to get it out and do some WOT runs to knock the winter cobwebs off.

If I could hook it would be a good way to get a best time, too.

sardog46 02-10-2005 10:43 AM

as it stands right now i don't think i will make it, even if the weather is nice, i am still waitng on a part, a nitrous blow down fitting. That is the only thing i am lacking to be completly legal. Good damn 10 doller part, anybody have one for a nx bottle, the nos ones wont work already tried.
