Default April 29th @ Bremerton

So who's all going? I'll be there.

After reading this I'll be catching a Ferry for sure. Sea/Brem there and Edm/King on the way home.

I'm going. But we were planning to drive since it costs guys with trailers $60 each way to take the ferry. Looks like "we" should consider taking I-405, eh Jason / Bill / whoever?

I'm hoping to have the new 60 (72) lb injectors installed by then. I do have to change out the injector connectors to install them, though. If not, I'll still run and better my time because I've got the shift/ rev limiter issue solved.

Unfortately I have to withdraw because work is sending me off elsewhere. Shame, since I want to see what impact my first attempts at tuning would bring (found I was running waaay leaner than I thought - my engine is already thanking me).

I'll be there... my car should be done Wednesday or Thursday.

New clutch + new cam = 11s (hopefully, but it is me driving)

I will just meet up with the caravan once you guys get down around the Federal Way area most likely.

I won't be running at the track at all until May 7th at Bremerton... opening CCC race, and I'll be running the truck until after I return from G9.

Formula is probably not going to see the track until mid to late June.

Hoping to start on "Project Death Trap" (what I'm calling my plan to build a turbo'ed drag racer Beetle) shortly after I return. I think I'm going to shoot for at least an 11 second car. Doing a lot of research right now on turboing air cooled motors.

I will be actively looking for a '57-'66 Beetle when I come back to Seattle.

I may be there if I can get this new car I just picked up running for some baseline runs, hahaha. I'll post pictures this weekend after I picked the car up. This could either be the best or the worst $300 I have ever spent!

1988 Volvo 740 Turbo sedan. It's like my Volvo, but a sedan, and doesn't run. Has near perfect interior, 4 speed + overdrive (that doesn't work right now), pretty good body except for front end, needs a new hood and maybe some more. I'm either going to fix it up and sell it for a profit, or fix it up and sell my POS wagon and still make a profit lol.

Possibly, depends on how it runs. If the engine is in good condition then I have some big plans for my newest daily driver. Ha, I feel like such a ricer, don't hate though.. I never knew Volvo engines had any potential until I started researching it a lot. ~$2k will get about 250rwhp 300rwtq. Don't think I'm going to go that much ***** out though.

Thumbs up going

I plan to go, but I'm not sure what my wife will ultimately have to say about it. I already brought it up. She will be working. She seems to think I love my GTO more than her sometimes. At least my car doesn't spend money we don't have for me. I only spend money on the cars when we have it to spend. I put as much into her Subaru as I did for the minor mods I've done to the GTO. Oh, well.
It looks like I won't have to worry about the construction if I'm coming up from the south, correct?
I'm lookin' forward to finally gettin' my car on the track, and hangin' out with you guys.

Later,

Maximental

well at least I'm not alone in that... when we were out with friends, one of my friends asked me "Ok... so what's the thing you love most in your life?" I answered "My car... drag racing..." and my wife got offended.

Of course, I tried to clarify with "But honey... you're not a THING, you're my wife!", but she wasn't buying it.

That's what I would say, but if my GF got pissed, I'd just say "sorry, but it's true". I could live with out her a lot easier than I could live without my Formula.

So what time do you guys want to meet at my house? 1? 2?

And I'm staying out of the woman vs car debate. Linda reads these threads from time to time. I'm sure she'd say they are a pkg deal anyway.....
