I thought Ellis was better than that!
So Ellis graciously shows up this afternoon to help with the water pump install. Everything was going along just fine (after Ellis read the instructions...OH, THAT's why the thermostat doesn't fit....long story). Anyway, we fire the car up, pumps running fine, car runs fine too. So I put the cap on to pressurize the system. Temp stays at 160 for a long time (no fans) then starts to creep up. I shut it off at 210 & we hear the gushing sound. Damn coolant is POURING out of the front of the car!
I guess even having Master Groo in the garage won't overcome not screwing the bottom radiator hose clamp down. Oh well, I need to get under the car to put the fans on & drain the oil, so I'll put the hose back on & screw the clamp down then (when I usually do it...).

That is the plan. I should know shortly when I get it ALL together. I am rather pissed tho that a $500+ water pump doesn't come with any stupid friggin directions. Thank GOd for LS1howto.com!!!

And it runs now! But you would think, when they put the thermostat in the top port instead of the stock bottom location, they would either install the stupid thing for you, or AT LEAST give you a direction sheet. But like I said, it 'only' cost $500 so what can you expect?

As much effort as it took him to get there to help you he was probably not in his right mind!
Whoa, wait, he never is in his right mind. What was I thinking?

Heh, he didn't mention the fact I'm never in my right mind either....
Besides, I owe him. Anyone who has received an Ellis phone greeting at work will know what I mean!
