Default My official "now arriving in the 11 second tent" thread !

The old Camaro is actually starting to run like it should It still has a ways to go, and needs some suspension tweaking and maybe a little bigger tire to completely hook it up, but at least I'm seeing some progress Here's the numbers on my 11 sec pass.

60 ft 1.73
1/4 11.947
mph 115.25

Once I get it hooked up a little better I would think 1.6x 60 fts and 11.7x-11.8x times shouldn't be a problem. It's got the torque to launch way harder than it is, just needs some more TRACTION lol !

It was a keeper day at the track with you guys.

Nice run, Bill! That was by far my favorite run of the day, and I lost.

You oughta leave that ugly slow-*** POS at home....oh wait, that's another thread.

CONGRATS BILL!!! It is so cool to see a sweet old-school muscle car out running like yours does. I wish I had the run on tape. I swear that left front tire came off when you launched.

Looks like I'm the only one of us left in the 12 second tent. Guess I better think of something....by August I'll even be out of the top 10 at this rate.

Thanks guys, it's been a long slow road since that first 14.xx at 107 mph pass on a 2.6 60 ft 2 years ago with basically the same exact car Nothing like having a BBC powered '71 Z28 that doesn't run STOCK LS1 times lol ! At least I can whip most stock cars now. I'm just going to keep concentrating on suspension tweaks until I have it hooking consistantly in the 1.6x range and ONLY then will I start adding hp. Hopefully I'll still be in the top 10 by then ..........

You've done a good job tweaking that baby to get more out of it. I'll say it again, I LOVE YOUR CAMARO Bill.

But I guess I have to bite the bullet now & do the same. Damn, I did not want to make this one particular change either. Oh well, according to the local experts, it's most likely my only shot at running an 11 with my setup. And no, it is NOT a bottle....
