Here you guys go... had a great time watching the big dogs run. Man, I just love the shockwave that comes off those bad boys when they launch...

Great pics Jason. We of course forgot our camera at home. We were in the stand next to the timing tower (behing the cars in your pics). Man, did you see that girl in the Super Stock 68 Firebird pull that 1/4 track wheel-stand? Or the sardog-lookalike in the SS Firebird that came down at the 120' mark in the other lane. Fuggin amazing!!!
And how about those Pro Stockers. A 16 car field with 1 tenth of a second between the 1st place qualifier & 16th. 6.66 to 6.76 @ 204 to 206 & change. Those cars are SWEET!
Great day for the drags.....

I saw all those cars... walked back into the pits to check out that silver firebird, very nice! Overall it was a great day for racing... so many competitive drivers & cars! Those pro stockers were particularly impressive with how close they all were running.

I saw your buddy's Vette. He was dead on in the only pass I saw him make (time trial). He ran 8.90 (@ 152 I think) with a .024 r/t. That car could easily run mid 7s!
We spent some time in the pits too, but I was talking to motor builders & parts guys. Learned some interesting things yesterday about Eagle rods & titanium valves & roller rockers. I wanted to go talk with the A/FIA guys & maybe even WJ or the Grump's camps but our friend has some porblems with her feet & could only do some much walking. She spent about an hour with her feet stuck in our cooler.....& I spent a lot more $ on drinks than I planned on.
And I don't know who the guys running the races can handle it. We were ~ 10 rows up right on the starting line & there were a few times when the fuel & tire smoke made a lot of us cry, choke, & cover our faces. My white shirt is speckeld black.....damn I had fun!!!
