Also in both those runs, the t/a might have backed off ,due to the camaro trying to go in his lane..... .

Couple things I noticed (in between )

1) Dig the "LS1Tech.com" banner at the starting point of the races.

2) Dude either didn't know how to drive, the track was jacked up or that car is way too powerful since it seemed to lose control more then once.

3) I would not want to line up next to it cuz of #2

4) Daily Driver? With wheelie bars and a 'chute? (response to Steve )

5) Fun video.

Yeah, between the drool factor I had to wonder where 'street rods' end and 'NHRA' begins.

I think we are starting to cross a blurry line without benefit of a full time and paid position group to run the show.

Holy Sheep Dip, that thing hauls some major ***. Dancing all the way down the track. What a ride! I'm guessing that's the 10.5 inch tire class??

Though that thing makes some serious beans, it takes ALOT more then that to justify a full time crew. I have no intention of a paying anyone to crew, and nor do I need to. They are simply over acting in my opinion. In a LOW 7 second doorcar (consistent bracket car no less), the only help I get is placement in the burnout box from my wife. After that I'm fully capable of backing up after the burnout, and staging the car all by myself. Looking to go well into the 6s this season (We'll see about the consistent bracket car stuff soon enough ).

That said I can't take ANYTHING away from the guy. A Street Driveable car capable of running that kind of number is badass any day of the week.

Ellis, I got yer two big Turbos right here baby.....

Not crew as much as division. One that certifies the driver can handle runs like that and has a seperate class completely from 'street' rods. Brackets are getting to the point of needing their own day for runs - not mixed in or tagging a typical race day. Just a thought for safety and possible ability to pick up a little sponsorship.

That is where the drool factor comes in.
Actually, its a total O factor.
