The car is officially for sale
Well I've decided to do it.
My car is officially for sale. $15,000
2001 Formula M6, 43,000 miles on it.
Lightly modded (see sig).
I'm the original owner, and I have the original window sticker, sales brochure, and some other info that can go along with it.
I haven't had any major problems with the car, only minor problems have been the alternator was replaced at about 6000 miles and the rear pinion seal was replaced about 35,000 miles. I've only used synthetic oil it it.
It has black cloth interior, and a single disc CD player. Pretty much optioned with the same options that came standard on the T/A except for the leather seats.
Sad to see it go, but i'm moving on to bigger and badder things
Right now I still have a loan on it, so getting the title in hand will take a few days, but shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise it will be paid of in September.
Let me know if you're interested or anyone that you might know.
Derek

I did a little looking on Autotrader.com today. Basically around here cars similar to mine are going for quite a bit more (at least in there) like $18k+. Granted, those are mostly at dealerships. Does my price sound reasonable?
Anyways, I was thinking of listing my car in there, once I get the title in hand. Anyone ever used autotrader? Good results?

Your price sounds awesome to me.
I sold my '00 WS6 with 35k miles on it for $15.5 almost 2 years ago so I am thinking you are in a good place to start. If it is in half as good of shape as most of the guy's cars around here then you are in good shape. It took me forever to sell mine but then again, I wasn't trying very hard (I didn't realllllly wanna let her go). I never got much out of Autotrader BUT that was in L.A. where it is a sport to lowball sellers until they break down and just unload the car. I had offers of $8-9k for a pristine 100% stock (except for tint & a flowmaster muffler) car, just cuz that is how they are down there.
I would think that as spring is here and summer approaching, you shouldn't have much trouble selling her off.

That's why I'm going to go ahead an sell it now, rather than wait until Sept. when it is paid off. Its a better time to sell.
The only bad thing is it has 0% interest on the loan, so I'll be loosing a little bit of interest that I make on my savings, but I need to get it sold.

I might know someone that wants it. Let me go ask him. He has to get the title for his Honda & sell it first (divorce). I'll go print some pics & the mod list & show him.
Oh, and what would you charge me to powder coat my MAF ends the same color as those coil brackets you did for me? And how long would it take?
