Default Another cammed car now!

Well I finished up the install last night on my old car that is now in the hands of my friend Brian (98ls1/87vortectpi) and I've got the scars to prove it from the damn cowl. Well she sounds like a beast once again! Put in a G5X3, HS rockers, Comp 977's, titanium retainers, and hardened pushrods. Now just need some help tuning it. He does have HP Tuners but we don't know where to begin...

Lots of people have had issues with them. My concern is the amount of lift in that cam you have and these rockers. I am not saying they can handle it. I kind of take valve train stress to the absolute extreme, but just keep an eye on them.

Try and find a replacement in Battle Mountain Nevada the day before a race(actually voted the "Armpit of America" by USA today)

Ditto. Usually the rockers will chew up the aluminum roller and spit its guts all over the inside of your engine. Plus they're heavier than stock and just put more weight over the tip of the valve causing float at higher rpms. Just send the stockers to Nate at nasty performance and he'll eliminate the clips and a few other tricks.

Keeping the valves from hitting the pistons helps too
