Default My WS6 is completely dead now..

I went out today to take some pics of the WS6... clutch is still kinda flakey, but I figured I could nurse it for a short trip.. So I went out and got some decent pics of the car, and right before I got home I noticed that the car was kinda sputtering, and running a little rough.

Turned on to my street, and I stopped at my mailbox to get the mail, and then the car just died, and wouldn't start back up again. I thought it seemed like a fuel issue, so I grabbed the fuel pressure gauge from the house.. sure enough... I'm getting 0 psi fuel pressure. Looks like the fuel pump is dead.

So I ended up having to call a tow truck to tow the freakin car up my driveway. A whole 0.1 miles... cost me $75 to get it up my driveway..

I got some nice pics of the car, though.

It's probably gonna sit for a while... and I'll probably just end up doing it myself.

I wanna figure out what's up with the Formula before I do anything... although it didn't seem to have a problem today, I took some pics of it earlier today, too.

Better, but some of the flaws stand out more now than they did before. Like the rock chips on the nose, headlight covers, and hood, it makes them all really glaring now.

My driveway is about a tenth of a mile long, and is uphill almost all the way, fairly steep for about half of it. Even if I got all of my neighbors (3 of them) to push the car, it still wouldn't be enough to get the car up the hill.

For as little as I drive these cars, it doesn't make sense. This is the first time I've had to tow a car for like 5 years... probably even longer. It would cost as much to join AAA for a year as it did to tow the car.

Exactly.. It's like $80 for a year of the premium package where they tow you for free up to 150 miles I think it is. Pretty cheap insurance! Sorry about the fuel issues, that's a bummer.

I always have AAA, it's money well spend if ya ask me. Plus you can use it for somebody else's car if you are with them and get stranded if you need to.

Cars are lookin sweet Zeke!

One $75 tow in 5 years is cheaper than $80/year.

True, the one time I didn't have AAA is the one time I acually needed it. Good thing is though is you can call them and sign up over the phone at your place of breakdown and they'll send somebody out right after that.

Nice pics Zeke.....sorry about the pump. I can tell you first hand what you are in for. I'd send it to Elllis! Cuz I think on 98s you have drop the rear end to get the tank out.

Yeah, you do have to drop the tank. Gonna be fun because it still has about 3/8 of a tank of gas in it.

Giving it to Ellis means towing it to Monroe, though... and if I am gonna go that far, I wanna have the clutch done too. I just don't have the money for all that right now.

Hell, just the fuel pump alone appears to be expensive as hell.

The clutch was screwing up yesterday too, and briefly had me stuck in the parking lot I was taking those pictures in, fortunately I was able to **** with it and get it working again.

Same reason why I'm working on mine this winter - and same thing, polished the **** out of it, drove it, fuel pump went out. The clutch seemed like it was softer than needed to be, need to check that as well. Its just easier to have time to tear it apart, buy some damn expensive parts, clean it up piece by piece and put it back together.

My guess is Darrin will never have this issue
