The rice softened his fall. I hate to see anyone get hurt, but that is amusing in a tragic sort of way.

Ouch. So much for using the dyno brake to slow it down!

I swear I've caught myself almost doing that a few times before, now I'll make sure that mental note is bigger, yellower and stickier.

Personally I don't think its very funny. Having worked in paper mills for 25+ years, I am willing to put money on it that most of the people here have no idea what something like a chassis dyno's rollers or a paper machine press section with similar rolling masses can do to a human being.

That accident as funny as it may seem could have had a tragic ending had he tripped into the rollers when it was running at speed. I have seen people get caught up in paper machines and let me tell you the sight isn't pretty nor for the ones with weak stomachs, those that survive are usually crippled for life.

You dont think its funny because your old..LOL
Actualy I was thinking what would happen if someone did that on yours. With both rollers going towards each other. That place was a disaster waiting to happen. Very narrow stall with no room for people to move. He actualy tried to step over it and missed.

I have worked around machinery way worse than a dyno.... And probibly a paper mill as well. I have seen some nasty things happen too.

I still find this funny, and amusing. Only because he was not terribly hurt from this, now if it was something worse, yeah of course I would take it more serious.

I don't think any of us would think it was funny if the guy got hurt. He didn't so it is funny. Big difference between what could of happened and what did happen.
