alternator wire question
ok im pulling my motor and the only thing thats stopping me is the wire going into the top of the alternator its a red wire that has a big connector i cant figure how to get this out without breaking it. Someone said there is three wires to the alternator i did the one in the back and this red one where is the other? thanks Brandon

Dont do it to hard. It just takes little twist of the wrist. You know what the clip looks like, its the same design as on the rest of the car. Plastic peice that snaps over a tab. Stick the blade in between the tab and twist it a little to lift it off the tab and pull up. Do it gentle, your not prying the plug off with the screw driver just releasing the tab with it.

only 2 wires. Also I cut the small wire and added another foot of length to make it easier to change out the alternator. Cut the wire and add more before pulling it out of the clip. Then again you can lower it and use a screw driver. They sell the part at the dealer for like 20 bux as well. The dealer part is generic and comes w 4 wires. You just cut off the 3 you don't need.
