Gee thanks Ken, but you know you like my Dick.

At anyrate, sure looks clean dosen't it?

It will most likely pull down 5 to 6 mpgs more then my current truck because it has overdrive.

Theres a reason why that thing is soooooo cheap... It guzzles gas.

What kinda mpg do you get now? And what do you think that will do?? Cuase that truck around town will pull 10-12 on the highway 16-18 tops.

1989 GMC 1 Ton
in other words. No overdrive 4.10 gears 7-8 MPG. Gas mileage is not a concern to me I go 24 miles a day.

You know the deal, you could weld that f er shut and drill another hole.

Might take a 12 pack though

Get a 98 or newer with the LS engine. You'll do much better, even with a 3/4 ton.

+1

I just picked this up today. Clean/low miles...I towed my Mustang cross country during a PCS move with my old '04 Silverado, had zero problems and averaged over 10 mpg to boot at interstate speeds.

I am once again a LSx owner!

I don't want payments, I can buy this out right. Anything is going to get better gas mileage then my current truck. Gas mileage is not my concern here though.

I'm not totally 100% sure, but I think I purchased a truck from them when I had my first house and lived in Marysville, I've slept since then... Not that many dealers in Marysville, pretty sure it was them, made me a pretty good deal I do remember that...

Not much help, but figured I'd respond. I've got a very healthy '82 chev with a slightly built 427 that would pull your house, but you cant pass a gas station that's for damn shure..

anyway, that truck looks nice.

We had a lot of problems with our tranny in our '96-97 silverado diesel. I don't know if that particular model has the same tranny, but ours went through 3 rebuilds by the time we hit 100k+ (I think they replaced the first one too, but not sure). We used it to DD and towed a few horses 5-6 miles once a week for my mothers horse riding lessons. Ended up just trading the thing in for the brand new model sometime in 01 or 02 when it was time for the 4th rebuild. Very disappointing model IMO.

ps. same shitty window motors we have in our camaro's hahaha

I think they have the 4L80E, That is a good tranny. Not sure what the diesel had though.
