Just thought I would try to drum up a few F Bodies for competition out there. Its a great event with the chance to run against all types of cars in heads up competition. The True Street class is fun, based on index classes of 9.99 or faster, 10.00-10.99, 11.00-11.99, 12.00-12.99 and so on. Of course most of the competitive cars in those classes have been faster than the low index, in other words cars running the 12.00 index have probably gone mid 11s before and so on.
It was $30 to race in it last year and has a pretty decent payout considering. Its a one day/all day event starting at about 8-9am and ending usually around midnight or so. Lots of heads up racing that is fun to watch even if you're not racing.
I raced in the True street class at the last event of the year. I raced a 68 Z28 Camaro, Paul Gamino's Silver 2nd gen lightning, then a 55 Chevy Bellaire. Not too many races that you get to line up with cars like that! The Bellaire gave me the best run I've ever had. He went 12.004 to my 11.999. I broke out of the 12.00 index by .001. That sucks. He went on to win that class. I was one round away from some money!

Id like to make a COTT race this season but i cannot make the March 29th date. I have to get some testing done before then, some suspension work and the car certified and my NHRA license. Ill probably race the true 10.5 class. I dont think I can run mid 8's like some of those fellas but I think I can hang close once I get my car lined out.
