Default Price Question for Painters

Hey im trying to get a ball park price on painting part of my passenger side door. its on top by the rubber window seal the clear coat is peeling off. Its about 7in long and 1 1/2 wide. The color is sebring silver metallic. I was hoping around 400 since they will have to sand and blend. Any help would be great! Thanks!

No way, on a silver, you will probably have to blend the fender and the quarter to make it look right. And unless you are going for cheap, don't do just above the body line.

Taking it to a shop will cost some where around $600-700 depending on what all they choose / what you want detrimed.

Depends on the shop. Some shops won't or can't blend an area like that. The body shop my dealer works with refuses to blend doors. But if you can do it, all the more power to you and just means you're all the more skilled. So it depends on what shop OP goes to between 200-600 dollars.

Its what I do for a living as well guy

Yes it all depends on what the customer wants but to do it right and look good, it would be best to blend both ways. Don't want to leave a halo trying to keep it small.

If the repair area is toward the center of the door you may be able to keep the color away from the quarter and fender and only paint the door. With out pics it's hard to say.
