Default best paint for susp. parts?

i got a tubular k member and control arms that were powder coated white i have since stripped the powder coating off with paint remover.. but what paint is durable enought to use to paint it and help prevent rock chips? i was gonna use the vht high temp paints.. because they have always been good about chipping in the past on like blocks and stuff.... so what do u guys think.. i would have it repowder coated but i am not sure i wanna spend the money right now.. thanks agian

Do you have access to a spray gun? If you do you can use a good grade of automotive urethane and it will be fine.

If you decide to use the auto paint you have infinite color choices. If you use a single stage make sure that you use a catalyzed paint. It will hold up fine.

i would use urethane based paint if you honestly want to paint them but i mean how much street driving do you do with the car? if you do 50% or more then i would get them re powdercoated because its a lot more durable then paint

POR 15 has a good line of extremely durable paint....I cant post wesbite because they are not a sponsor.

Also eastwood Co. has some rattle can chassis paint that is really durable as well. Both are good/ strong paints for fairly cheap.

I am doing my spindle arms in extreme chassis black from eastwood. I am laying their specific primer, before hand. It comes in satin and gloss. I felt satin would look better IMO. I will post pics when done, as I am going to be spraying the actual chassis paint on the arms today.

How hot does a k member get? That is a question to ask when choosing a paint for it. I know the eastwood stuff is supposed to be chip resistant. In all honesty I would get it re powdercoated. It is out of the car, and easy to do at this point. You would kick yourself later if you watched it chip, and then rust.

Edit: still going to post pics, but it has been raining here so I delayed painting.
