had a f'in accedent Anyone have any idea on how much this will cost... |
|
im guessing you hit a pole... when my rear qp was damaged (above the driver wheel) it wasnt as bad as yours. IMO to get it fixed good your looking at maybe 2500. it seems pretty deep and the gap between the hatch is f'ed |
Ouch.... That's not going to be cheap with having to replace that quarter panel. |
ouch.. how did that happen? hopefully someone wasnt trying to be tokyo drift.. |
Ya not happy about it at all...someone parked real close to me anf i was really paying attention to the car next to me and ...... The rest is history... Were can I buy a new rear 1/4 panel ... |
you might not need to buy a new rear QP. its welded in so thats going to cost a shit ton to get fixed. |
Ya im sure its going too.. but I really wanted it fixed |
Ya I really don't care u just want it fixed right |
couldnt he just goto a junkyard and get a little more than he needs cut off and welded in place? |
he could but its the bodywork thats gonna kill him on that. i had that option with mine but it was the labor charge that killed it since theres so much more needed for welding and making the gaps right compared to just pulling out the dent |
^If he has the skill to do that. Welding in patch panels and making it look like nothing ever happened is difficult. There's a reason good body men charge so much. |
Have someone cut and weld new piece in place - some body shops do wonders. |
You're probably going to want to get that dent removed instead of replacing with a new weld in panel. |
check junk yards |
Hey just want to make sure. A fire bird rear quarter is the same as a transam right |
A firebird and trans am has the same quarter panels. I don't think what year it is between 93-02 matters. |
You wont need a new quarter panel. Mine was in much worse shape and my bodyman brought it out real well. |
