I'm hit!

So a customer at work backed into the trans am today :bang: . But atleast he was nice enough to come in and ask whos "blue camaro" it was lol. Two other co-workers havent been as lucky and have had a hit and run in the same parking lot. Anyway, his insurance wants me to take it in to service king to get it inspected since they said they have their adjusters there. I think Ill be taking the check and just do either a touch up else where or replace the bumper with a color matching one I found on craigslist. Now for the hood, the tip by the nostril got bent. Is that something that can usually be bent back in to place or would it need a new hood? *Possibly a ram air hood :secret2:*

That sucks, but that was nice of the person to admit they did it. On the bright side, it would be a perfect time to get a new hood!

Don't know about Texas, but here in Arkansas you can take it to ANY shop you want. Insurance companies cannot tell you which shop to use and their adjusters can travel to wherever the car is. Take it to the most expensive body shop around, get their estimate, and make insurance pay. The hood is absolutely repairable. Not even an hour of repair. Maybe an hour of paint. They probably wont pay for a new one.

The hell if I would take it to THERE adjuster. Unless you have insurance with them, it should be up to your insurance company or you. Sorry for the incident but glad the guy was man enough to say something about it.
