Default color change from rally red to som

Have to get the entire car + door jambs resprayed and was considering a color change.
Don't care for the engine bay and anything else matching for now.

Any advice or info before trying this?

Is SOM a single stage paint? Anyone have the paint code?

TIA

Depends on which SOM you want, I have seen 3 in person that were all resprays and they all came out different. My friends looks maroon in every pic he takes

Sounds like a plan!
Paint code is 71 and appears to be a base/clear job.

I have always wanted to paint my car Tangelo pearl if I get a repaint.

What Brand for paint & clear is recommended.

Also is oven baking the car after paint absolutely needed for a lasting paint job?

DuPont is good paint and no need to oven bake your car after painting.
