Got the inside all cleaned out for the rollcage. Also got the rear bumper absorber off , found a good amount of rust. Made a template out of cardboard. Just have to cut that template out on some new steel and weld in place.

most of the roll cage is done, still have rear bars to mount, tunnel bars, and firewall cross bar left

Thanks man it's not easy keeping the two cars going. The Z had the 24x conversion done. It was animal put done almost 490 to the rear. Then it ran into a idling problem. Leaning on IAC or vacuum leak. So it's back at the shop. Been doing some engine bay work to it...will post pics soon

In the last pictures it looks like your intake is only an elbow, MAF sensor, and filter.
How's that working for you?
Do you think it's a restriction or sucking in hot air?
Which part number and air filter is it?

I'm going LS3 and one of my problems is how to run my intake and I'll be using a 100mm MAF. I would like to use a K&N cold air intake, but I dont know the size of the intake that matches to the MAF and I'm not sure if it will be a restriction. I would love to have a lid like all the LS1's, but Im not cutting the real SLP SS hood I just bought.

Any advice would be great.
Your Z is at 490rwhp and my goal is 500rwhp so what kind of intake is on there too?

The SS had only a elbow, maf, and filter. I would imagine on paper ( dyno pull) i would have seen power loss due to this setup. did i feel it, no. this was only temporary setup though. as you see the car is coming back apart for a full teardown ( engine bay gutted, sanded and painted) will run a boosted 427 lsx tall deck.

The Z is just a SLP cai setup, with a big cam, big cubic inches, really good set of AFR heads. note that is on race fuel. got about 10 more hp swapping to 24x, switched to race fuel and pulled that number

motor has been pulled, engine bay cleaned, degreased, heated power washed, sanded, wiped down with rubbing alcohol, and spot primed. Will be priming and painting once I'm ready to install new front suspension setup. turbo tubular k member, manual steering rack arrived today waiting on my upper adjustable a-arms from BMR. I'll post the pictures as soon as I can figure out how to load the pictures up
