painting rocker panel
 

Well i had a boo-boo a few months back so i have waited for the terrible missouri humidity to die down before painting. so take a look at the pictures and give me some advice. I was thinking right were the rocker panel curves, to sand with rough sand paper from there down. then prime,paint,clear coat. any advice i have never painted i just want this to look presentable and unnoticeable that i have scratched the rocker panel. i am aware its not going to be perfect. the rocker panel also has minor dents in it any advice for that?
