tough coating for front bodykit

So i have the wings west bodykit. (Came with the car) i love the way it looks. Problem is the previous owner used double sided tape or some kind of rubber cement to attach it. The front end came off at 65mph on freeway and was destroyed. I'm going to order a replacement front lip. My question is can anyone recommend a strong paint r coating (in black) that will resist my wifes stupid curb checks?

One idea i just thought of. Maybe mask of 1-2 inches of front lip and use aerosol bed liner?

They also have 3m paint defender at autozone, spray on clear bra, haven't tried it yet but bought a can for when I'm finished repainting

^^ that's your best bet. You know she's going to keep testing for those curbs - you just need a product that will flex with the body kit.

I actually saw this done on the bumpers of a newer Subaru Legacy. The car was black with black rhino liner and was a pretty close match in paint. Great execution on the owners part and a fantastic idea for a city car.
