Been looking into house of kolor paint and they have some sick stuff as base colours already, wondering if anyone has used their dts epoxy before. I want to strip my car, epoxy everything and cut out the rust as I work so I don't have to do everything all at once

HOK Epoxy is decent stuff. But, the end all be all epoxy is southern polyurethanes. http://www.southernpolyurethanes.com/

I suggest using their clear as well, it is the best I have used and I have used Dupont, Martin Senour and House of Kolor. They ship to Canada--go to their FAQ's and there is a number of a seller in Canada.

If you have any doubts, do a search on them and you will see they have a great reputation. They do not offer much in the way os base coats, but their clears and primers are excellent.

As a general rule, that is accurate but it is not absolute.

Ok, how many coats? I've been told I only need one but would 2 be overkill? (For the epoxy)

Check out spi's forum on their website. Lot of good info. Check out perfect paint, epoxy torture test, etc. Their epoxy is also recommended as a sealer, thinned with urethane thinner for best adhesion.
You want more than 1 spray coat of epoxy.
They only have a few basic colors of base coat or single stage, but doesn't seem to be compatability issues with any other basecoats. Personally I'm going to use their single stage black under the clear, as ss has a stronger bond than base.

RM restorations in Canada won top honors at pebble beach using spi clear.

Lots of honest info from forum members there also.

The company owner has a technical info number that he answers even outside normal hours. Hard to beat that.
