Not only that but "matte" finishes makes it look like someone painted the car and couldn't afford clear coat. Satin paint jobs that split the difference aren't so bad, but I only like that on older muscle cars. It just doesn't look right on anything made in the last 30 years. I'm also confused on the term "murdered out." I know it's used to reference cars that are entirely blacked out. However, things don't turn black when they die. Unless your driving the corpse of Optimus Prime the term makes no ******* sense.

The job done here was a good one, and I can appreciate the quality of the work even if I wouldn't have done it.

Cars are very personal and looks are subjective. If you create a thread showing pictures of your vehicle, you invite commentary which can be overwhelmingly positive or negative or somewhere in the middle.

You can call it "snobby" all you want, but showing pictures of your car in a car forum thread invites discussion. Not everyone is going to sugar coat their opinions or agree with the original poster's work or taste.

I love this look. I'm actually wondering now how the paint underneath holds up though. I really love the color of my car but have been thinking about doing a matte black on the top of the spoiler and trunk lid only. Is there any bleeding into the stock paint at all? I don't want to ruin my original paint.

BTW: The murdered look is hot. I like it. Do your own thing...
