Hey guys. Wanted your opinion on repairing my driverside door jamb. There was a seam sealer taped used from the factory that I removed due to some surface rust starting at the bottom and it was lifting off the door jamb before the kick plate. From what I could tell its a 7/8ths inch 3M seam sealer tape that is paintable. I found 3M number 08476. Now should I replace that seam sealer tape and paint and clear it, or just sand it and paint and clear it with no seam sealer tape? I was just going to use etching primer and duplicolor black, with duplicolor clear.
