Default Replacing 4th gen hardtop roof panel

I went to the junkyard and cut a roof off a older 4th gen. I am having a hard time skinning the panel any suggestions?

I attempted the same thing, it's not even close to easy. There is a link in the sticky with someone who skinned a hard top. He made some additional cuts to get a cable saw in there. Check it out, may help some. It's not gonna be fun no matter what.

Use a grinder with a 4" disc and cut the metal framework off from the backside. Use a heat gun to release the adhesive. I have done many sails this way without any problem.
