Default Trans Am spoiler chip repair

I'm swapping a Trans Am hatch on to my Formula and there is a small ~ 1inch chip / gouge in the edge of the spoiler. What would the proper material to use to fill it in before paint?

I just fixed some of the same chips on the spoiler for my SS. You need to use a epoxy based adhesive/filler.as the spoiler is made from SMC. Also need to grind down to some clean base material.

Thank you! I went to the paint store yesterday and looked all the different kinds of fillers and was like "Uhhhhh....crap..." Knew someone on here could guide me in the right direction, haha!

Default Smc?

Can you help me out? What's the main differences between FRP, SMC, and "plain old" fiberglass parts?

I know the 85-90 wraparound Trans-Am spoiler was a horrific vinyl covered foam. What are most of the spoilers for our cars made of?
