door window adjustment

Car is a 2002 TransAm convertible. I am the second owner and there isnt any visible indication of the car having been in an accident.
I recently had a new top installed and it has been a nightmare ever since. I went to the local Chevy dealer for an installer recommendation as well.
So here is the issue. The top isnt adjusted correctly, ot the door window alignment is incorrect.
When no one is sitting in the car ( drivers side) the dooy closes fine and the glass clears the edge of the top. If someone is sitting in the drivers seat, when the door is closed, the glass hits the edge of the top and leaves a gap at the rear of the window..
With the old factory top, this didnt happen.
Several trips back to the installer and no relief. I would like to fix this myself, but cant find any i
nstructions.
Would like to avoid going to another installer. But if that is the only solution, I will have to go that way.
