so any guys out there they do body work and wanna make guesses on this one? as you can see the 1/4 did get hit and the gap between the top of the 1/4 pannel and hatch is now doubled.

wow....i hate people like that, sorry to hear about it.

SCRWS6 Mar 12, 2007 05:28 PM

drive around base, any cameras there?

navymitch12 Mar 12, 2007 05:45 PM

no cameras, and it was prob a truck bumper so no real way to tell who did it

Ricer Mar 12, 2007 06:56 PM

actually the exact same thing happened to me this weekend... i'm taking it to one of my customers sometime this week to get an estimate.. chick hit the tail light.. bumper cover, 1/4 pannel, rear trim piece, and cracked the wing... rough guess.. i'd say $2000 easy from a really good body shop... thats with all new parts and not just fixing stuff

if you need some paint let me know

Tainted Mar 12, 2007 07:19 PM

cnt tell you a price but tis an easy fix. the gap can be fixed by taking a edge and hitting the inside edge of the 1/4 pannel

crazboy99 Mar 12, 2007 07:40 PM

did you fill out a report on base??? if they cant find the person that did it...they will fix it...its like if you lock your doors on base and someone breaks into your car...they will fix it....you should look into that...just some fyi

navymitch12 Mar 12, 2007 09:05 PM

sweet i just heard that from 2 people now!

i am gonna talk to the base security more tomorrow.

i got a report in but they did not mention them paying for it at all...i already got a claim in the works with my insurance as well do i just tell them its taken care of?

crazboy99 Mar 12, 2007 09:17 PM

id wait until you have talked to base security before dismissing you insurance claim...just to be on the safe side

navymitch12 Mar 12, 2007 09:20 PM

yea i got that part...i am gonna talk to my chief tomorrow and see what he can dig up then talk to base security then go from there.
