I want to paint the hood scoop black on my 01 pewter SS, as well as a single stripe on the trunk/wing. And, also get a black pinstrip on each side of the scoop and trunk/wing. Iv'e seen a few people with it and I think its AWESOME. Does anyone kno how much i would be spending?

well its a hood and a spoiler that need to be painted, so i would guess you could get someone to paint it for around 300 total.

i want just the hood scoop painted, not the entire hood. I want the spoiler and the area on the trunk below the spoiler painted as well.

Mine is getting painted right now. Hood, deck lid, spoiler-complete wrap- re-clearing all of it so their wont be much of an edge for $600

Yeah, this is about the $norm$ for doing it right. Clearing over it is the only way to go, if you ask me. If enough clear is applied, you can wet sand and buff it so the stripes are not even felt. Looks great this way.

SuperSportin, you can usually figure about $550-$700 for such.

I have mine scoop painted red and got my rear panel done the same time and cost around $600.

i rattle canned my berger panel and am doing the hood this summer (not rattle canning the hood). im just going to scuff the entire hood, tape off the scoop, paint the scoop black, take off the tape, resand the hood and clear the whole thing.
