Default Don't think this is gonna buff out...

so after spending the last few days looking at pics of other unfortunate peoples wrecks and mishaps I had my own It involved a tricky intersection witout a stoplight, the last of race traffic from M.I.S. and a bit of bad luck. I'm still not really sure who hit who, but the lady in a brand new Escape ended up on her roof. She was all right, thanks to seatbelts and a bunch of airbags. During all this there was some ******* hovering over the cop telling him that the "jerk in the sports car was to blame and that he saw the whole thing happen". He left his card with the cop and took off. I was getting my info from my car when that was happening but my fiance was there and tore him a new *******. I did end up with a failure to yield ticket. But I do give props to the Lenawee County Sheriff who was really cool and basically told me the policy is that somebody has to get a ticket. I may try to fight it, but I don't know if its worth it if I lose.
Anyhow here are some pics of my car...

The black stuff on the hood is rubber from her back tire.

Man that sucks. I just got mine back a week and a half ago after rear ending a tracker. It tore up every thing in front of the fenders and the hood, and it cost $4300 to repair. It looks like you may have some damage to the unibody on it. Hopefully i'm wrong and it can be repaired. (of course unless your wanting a different one now)

**** that will buff right out.

I'm with thecorrectformula I just got mine back about 3 weeks ago after the 6k in damages i did to it. Your accident sounds kinda like mine its a pretty rough intersection its go and take your chances or sitt there all f'in day. I took the gamble and lost, totally did see the truck in the other lane behind the big fedex truck that was turning. Oh yeah I also had some dumb **** tell the cop that it was all my fault and that I came out with my tires squealing. It was my fault but my tires don't squeal with the traction control on.

She was driving a Ford? She's definitely to blame.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I haven't popped the hood to see whats up but it looks as if it could go either way with the uni. I think I'm going to try to fight the ticket. We'll see what happens.

Just got a ballpark estimate from the body shop, $6205.36!! I'm going to have to leave the car for teardown so the adjuster can do a full write up on it. Fortunately the owner of the shop is a trusted family friend so I'll be able to keep tabs on the work.

Well from the looks of your car it would appear you ran into her (unless she was backing out into traffic). You may have a hard time fighting the ticket, but hopefully you get the old girl fixed up and back out on the road.

To me, it looks like she cut you off. Was she driving forward or sideways?
