Side molding removed on T/A's?

I was wondering if people who have removed the side molding on your T/A could post up pictures from many views (mainly side views and a 3/4 shot from the front). Trying to decide what route to go.

Yea, its a pretty easy appearence mod and people usually use stuff like goo gone or something lile that. I don't have any pics fro ya, but a few years ago in GMHTP there was this SOM TA with solid black Fikse FM5's on it and it had the side moldings removed and it looks so awesome without them.

The door trim molding, not the side skirts/gfxs. Mainly on 98-02 T/As

yeah i did it to mine..looks a hell of a lot better..only down fall = when someone opens their door next to you and hits yours...but this shouldnt happen because you park so far away from everyone eles riiight?lol

Eric95 Mar 4, 2008 02:20 PM

just make sure before you take them off that the car hasnt been repainted with them on. if it has, when u take them off you will be able to see and feel the edge of the paint where it was...this is why I havent taken mine off

AiDRocks Mar 5, 2008 12:12 AM

IMO looks better off.

xEzekial Mar 5, 2008 12:46 AM

my car is kinda rare so i think they are staying on for now. that happens to be the only paint "defect" i guess with this car. haven't noticed the sail panel bubbling yet, still looks fine. but the door trim has a line of paint on the upper part of the strip that is weathered off. but like i said it's original it's prolly gonna stay that way, at least until i get the 30th SS racing strips and 2002 Collectors Edition graphics.
