Default Ported 241 heads! (Updated)

Category: Engine - Intake/Fuel
Price: $500
Part Fits: 93-02 Chevrolet Camaro, 93-02 Pontiac Firebird, Corvette, 04-06 Pontiac GTO
Location (State): NY
Item Condition: Brand New
Shipping Information: Item Can be Shipped
Engine: LS1/LS6
LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine

Hand Ported 241 Cylinder Heads, spent 30 hours porting these heads, they should flow better than stock LS6 heads now. Compared to the LS6 heads at 260cfm, I would guess 270-275cfm. In stock form the LS1 241 heads only flow 223cfm.

Here is a list of what was done to the heads.
- Runners cleaned up with 80 grit sanding roll but hardly any material was removed for maximum velocity.
- Removed and blended the rocker arm bolt hump in the intake.
- Removed 25% of the intake ramp for better flow but kept most of it for increased turbulance/flow.
- Narrowed the valve bosses and blended/smoothed them to the runners
- matched the ports by caliper and eye
- blended seat with the bowl
- Lapped valves

The pictures don't do the runners justice since my camera sucks at taking close-ups

The runners are still small for great velocity at an estimated 215cc/75cc. Ported LS6 heads could be hacked out to 240cc and not give as good bottom/midrange. Heads can be picked up or shipped. If you have any questions please PM me or contact me at corvette_ls7@yahoo.com. I accept paypal (add 3% for fees)

SOLD! Thanks for looking.

Bump, cut more of the rocker humps out and blended the seats to the bowl better. Done touching them up now.

TTT, I just lapped the valves so these heads are all ready for installation. I really thought these would move fast since it's like I ported them for free after considering tool costs.

If they were 243/799 castings you'd have more interest.

Looking at others who have flow benched hand ported 241's doing the same things I did got around 270-275cfm. I have no idea where one would be around me and don't want to spend an additional $100 on that. Already $250 into tools plus the cost of the heads/valves/springs and porting them.

Just got a new camera and sold my 2 year old camera and camcorder. This new one, Canon sx130, puts the others to shame. Plus I got it for the same price I sold my camcorder and camera . Anyways here is a better 12MP pic of the intake runner.

I would do another set or two since it should take a lot faster now. Definately don't want 10 people sending heads though. PM me for a price.

How do you know each cylinder flows equally and is this your first attempt at porting heads? TIA
