I am also building a turbo LS1 in a '67 camaro. To answer your question, NO. Stock exhaust manifolds (car or truck style) will not work in a stock sub-frame. If you have an aftermarket sub-frame, I think they could work.
Not only does the exhaust manifold hit the steering box on the drivers side, the collectors turn down to close to the sub-frame and hit. I tried and tried to make them work, but just couldn't.

lol, yes those headers are PRICEY. Good luck with that and your build. I have been on the other side of the road with the dishonest sellers. I'd hate to do that to someone else.
