These heads have been ported by Brett Land at LandSpeed Development in Indy. The porting is what he calls "Street Smart" or "Stage II." The intake port is bowl ported and is now 265cc vs the stock 260cc. The exhaust is fully ported and 97cc. There was also some chamber work done. According to his flowsheet they flow as follows:
______I_____E
.100 74.5 57.2
.200 154.3 112.3
.300 228.1 158.9
.400 280.4 193.3
.500 318.4 217.6
.550 334.6 224.2
.600 345.6 245.6
.650 351.5 239.3
.700 342.7 241.8
The heads are 823 castings, which means they are L92 truck heads, but as far as I know the actual castings are the same as the LS3 heads. I bought these heads bare from the dealer originally. The valves are LS3 hollow stem GM 2.165 valves that I also bought new. The exhaust valves are Manley 1.60s. I had the heads milled .030 at the time of porting which gives them a chamber volume of 66.8cc after all the work. The valves are also all at the same height in the chambers, as opposed the original GM machining. The valve depth is less than .020 different than stock giving a tad more space for that big intake valve for piston to valve clearance vs .030 milled stock heads.
The heads have a little less than 40k on them, call it 38k. The valve springs are Patriot Duals that should be replaced due to mileage which is the same as the heads. I would at the very least test them before running them, but personally, I'd replace them. I have them shimmed for the cam I was running, as well, so the spring heights may not be appropriate for you. Since they should be taken off anyway, I'll leave all that to the buyer.
Of course, the heads will have to be cleaned up, at least the deck surface.
In addition to the heads, I have a set of intake rockers and rocker rails and a stock LS3 intake manifold, which includes an LS3 MAP sensor. I'll also throw in the pigtail for the MAP (not a conversion harness, just the pigtail). You'll have to splice that into your harness if you want to use it. All has the same mileage as the heads. There are no injectors, fuel rail or throttle body with the intake.
The work to the heads was $850 by itself with no parts included. This would make an excellent top end for a stroker.
I'd prefer to sell this as a package, and I'm asking $1400 for everything or $1150 for just the heads. I am open to offers, but I'd like to give someone the chance to get it all before I sell the manifold and other parts.
Here's a few shots of the port work before it got dirty, just to give a better idea about the work:
