I have a set of 4th gen Bilstein front shocks assembled with factory springs and upper mounts ready to be bolted in. The upper studs on the mounts had spun so I used bolts from the bottom. They have around 30-40k miles on them, swapped them out for Koni.

Are the springs stock ? I'm interested. I need a softer ride than my KYB gas-adjust provide...

Yes they're stock 93-97 V8 springs, which are about 6% stiffer (310# vs 292#) than 98-02 springs and seem to sit about 1/4" lower than my original springs did

The bilsteins were certainly softer than the new Koni's without the float of stock DeCarbons

In the upper mounts? Here in NJ with the salt they use in the winter things rust very quickly, I packed the upper mounts with grease so the orange you see is just discoloration, the shafts are rust free
