I have recently had a break-in and had a bunch of high performance larger camaro parts stolen. Here is a list of what was taken...
LT1 T56 transmission
TCI TH400 trans and blue stall converter
Moser Ford 9" rearend with lt1 backing plates
Moser 12 bolt with LS1 backing plates
383 LT1 Shortblock
Ive already been contacted by two members who had wanted to buy ads already. They have told me he was using my pics, my descriptions and attempting to sell them the parts I recently had stolen for dirt cheap in order to try and move them quick.
Im trying to get as much information on this user as possible to relay to law enforcement. Please pm me with any details you may have. Thanks!

tried to trade me the 9 inch and the 12 bolt. then said he had sold the 12 bolt. Never came through on a deal for the 9 inch though. Was it a 12 bolt with 3:73 and a 9 inch with 3:50?

Looks as tho theyve got this guy. They recovered the 383 LT1 shortblock tonight.... Looks like ill end up getting the stuff back in the long run (sounds like itll take 6-12 months of being in evidence but better late than never)... It did end up being co99z that had my parts. No surprise there...

Well he was supposed to come in yesterday under an agreement he had made with the sheriff and didn't show up from what they said. But I guess they had figured out where the shortblock was and I id'd it.... so now they definitly have enough to issue an arrest warrant and pick him up.
He has already told the police that he knew where everything was, that it was in good condition and was all still there. So he has kind of admitted to it in a round about way... But now they have the engine that was at his friends place and his friend has confirmed that he in fact dropped it off there and asked him to store it. SUPPOSEDLY without the friends knowledge that it was stolen....riiiight.
We'll see what happens cuz there HAS to be a second party involved as a shortblock banded to a pallet weighs around 325-350lbs.... no way in hell one guy can lift it, especially this guy.
Thanks Jason and Evan for trying to set this guy up. We were onto the right guy for sure as he did admit that co99z was his username. And he also admitted that the username on ebay where he tried to sell a 6speed days after the theft was his also.

It is possible the guy had no idea and just told his buddy he didn't have a place to store it. Who knows, glad your getting your stuff back let alone in good shape. I wasn't so lucky with my mustang, it was trashed.

Just got back from id'ing everything and its all as it left for the most part. Appearantly the two transmissions were stored inside a grain bin on farm and the rearends were out hidden in a ditch and the motor was at least in a garage. So everything is in good shape and now in police possession in evidence.
Heres the kicker, it ended up being 6 guys in a Ford F-150 driving up a waterway into the back entrance of my parents place where the stuff was in storage. They came in the middle of the night both times when more than likely my parents were home and asleep.
All 6 are now facing 2 counts a Felony Burglary.

Yep. Intelligence at its max to try and sell the stuff on the very forum I was selling it on before it was stolen. Then you add to the fact he STOLE my pictures, posts them to a photo album that has pictures of HIS car in it, youre not dealing with the sharpest tools.
The investigator working the case thinks that due to the fact that itll be hard on the stuff to sit in evidence storage for so long that they may be able to take pics and process it and return it within a short period of time. Im hopeful that will happen, otherwise it could take up to a year or so...

Nope, they came to look at a car I had advertised one craigslist and had asked about the t56 at the same time. Pretty much went from there. They were there to scope out the place with the cover of looking at the car/transmission.
Little did the idiot know he was the only one I had shown where the t56 was and then suddenly it goes stolen. Wasn't too hard to pinpoint it to him and luckily I had his phone number still. So when I started looking for him I had his phone number and the type of car he drove, thats it.

FN craigslist.... Man I am always leary about people coming to my house when I sell stuff on there.... I usually grab what they came for and put it out in my driveway so they dont see all the goodies.... I dont know you but I'm glad that you got your stuff back and i'm glad the law did something promptly for you.
